This battery is to install in the Power Pet Door to be used as a back up power source. The Power Pet door can be run on the battery alone for about 5 days. If you want to use only battery power, it would be best to buy one battery with charger and a spare battery. This way you can swap out the battery when it gets low and charge the spare.
